What To Have If You Are Lost Camping, Needed Survival Items

One of the best things about Earth, and sadly something that seems to be appreciated by less and less people over the years, is the great outdoors. Many outdoor enthusiasts have their own ways of showing their love for the environment. For instance, some people use store bags and to go bags rather than paper or plastic at the grocery store because they want to recycle. In addition, plastics and lots of metals can be recycled, which means of course that less of that resource will have to be used up to make a new one of whatever it is that's being recycled. Other people show their appreciation for the outdoors by going camping for their vacations, an experience which can be rewarding in many different ways. But, while these trips are often a blast, there are a number of survival tools that a camper should take with them in some kind of bag while on their camping trip in case things go wrong for some reason.
One thing that everyone should take in their survival provisions on a camping trip is a hatchet. This could have many uses while somebody is out in the wilderness, amongst which is chopping firewood for a fire if necessary while lost in the wilderness. Another use of a hatchet, in the unfortunate instance that it needs to be done, would be to hunt and help get food in case things get really bad. Many hatchets are actually available in fold up sizes these days so that they can be stored in a bag more easily and so that more people are able to hang on to them in times of need.
Another thing that all people should have in their survival kit when going on a camping trip is a hand powered flashlight. Flashlights are available now which do not require batteries but instead it is cranked by the user for a certain number of cranks on the thing equaling to a certain amount of power from the flashlight. It would be crucial to be able to see in the dark, obviously, in case of being lost in the wilderness and that's why a flashlight would be critical.
Furthermore, all people should have mini first aid kits in their survival bag. Chances are that if a group of people or a single person is lost on a camping trip that somebody may get injured eventually and in that case it would be crucial to have a first aid kit. Also helpful would be a person who knows what they're doing in terms of first aid and can effectively use the items in the kit, but most of them are fairly self explanatory anyway.
Finally, the primary thing to have in a survival kit in time of emergency, is water. Most often water in streams or lakes really isn't very safe to drink, so people who have water on them already in survival situations have an advantage on people who hadn't thought that far ahead.
Camping trips can be extremely fun but also kind of dangerous and people have to be careful when taking this kind of vacation.
