The House on Telegraph Hill: Excellent cast in enthralling story of WW2 defector presuming lifeless lady's identity so that she might materialize to San Francisco where prosperous family members reside. Company of Killers: Gunman (Saxon) performing for Kill Inc. gets to be target for his bosses and the city cops after a key witness is shot down. Bites off more than it can handle. Cast includes Van Johnson, Ray Milland, John Saxon, Brian Kelly, Fritz Weaver, Clu Gulager, Susan Oliver, Diana Lynn, and Robert Middleton. (88 minutes, 1970)
Blind Date: Dr. Dullea tests a compact device that inspires vision on blind Bottoms, inducing Bottoms to become addicted to seizing a psycho slaughterer who's on the un-tight. Dense cast perks up a contrived thriller, filmed in Greece. Cast includes Joseph Bottoms, Kirstie Alley, James Daughton, Lana Clarkson, and Keir Dullea. (100 minutes, 1984)
Delirious: An astonishingly foolish comedy with a nice premise. A beleaguered soap-opera author gets a conk on the head and fantasies that he's living in his own story in a heroic role that allows him to have his way with the lady he worships in the real word. Cast includes John Candy, Mariel Hemingway, Emma Samms, David Rasche, Charles Rocket, Raymond Burr, and Dylan Baker. (96 minutes, 1991)
Dragnet: When examining fierce fighting, Sgt. Friday and Officer Frank Smith set out to solve a brutal murder. A bookie by the name of Miller Starkie has been killed. They aggressively pursue the case as they try to find the killers. Cast includes Jack Webb, Ben Alexander, Richard Boone, Ann Robinson, Stacy Harris, Virginia Gregg, and Dennis Weaver. (89 minutes, 1954)
Slap Shot: Newman is megastar of bush-group hockey team that's going nowhere till they plan to play muddy. Andrew Duncan is humorous as a local game broadcaster. Cast includes Paul Newman, Michael Ontkean, Lindsay Crouse, Jennifer Warren, Melinda Dillon, and Swoosie Kurtz. (122 minutes, 1977)
Abbott and Costello Go to Mars: Bud and Lou are cruising through space with gangsters that are on the run. They find themselves making a landing on Venus, a world populated with beautiful ladies wearing very little. Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Robert Paige, Mari Blanchard, and Horace McMahon are your main cast members. Charles Lamont directs (1953 Comedy)
The Night of the Hunter: Atmospheric allegory of innocence, wicked, and hypocrisy, with psychotic religious enthusiast Mitchum pursuing destitute kids for money stolen by their dad. Mitchum is amazingly bullying, paired by Gish as prudent matron who takes in the babies. Starkly- prompted by Laughton; his only film behind the camcorder. Screenplay credited to James Agee, from the Davis Grubb novel. Cast includes Robert Mitchum, Shelley Winters, Lillian Gish, Evelyn Varden, Billy Chapin, and Sally Jane Bruce. (93 minutes, 1955)
