Purebreds, Mutts and Designer Dogs

There have always been mixed breed dogs that vary in looks, personality and size even when they come from the same brood. Usually these dogs are referred to as "mutts" and they are much beloved. They usually have impressive health and they make wonderful pets.
A mixed breed dog is not a purebred and it may not be known if the parents of the dog are purebreds. They are fundamentally dogs from an indefinite pedigree and a questionable hereditary line. They are commonly sharp and wonderful and they make great pets but their ancestry is mysterious.
A purebred on the other hand is a dog that has two parents that are both of the same type. A lot of times there are long records of the inheritance of these dogs and breeders are very shrewd in their breeding techniques to make sure that they produce the strongest hereditary tendencies.
You may choose a purebred for a pet or you may prefer a mutt. A mutt will usually have robust healthiness and they do make great pets but a purebred has precise character that are bred in. There also is another choice that you may think about and that is the hybrid dog or the "designer dog".
A hybrid or designer dog is a dog that has two purebred parents from two distinctive breeds. They are separate from a mutt in that their pedigree is established. The parents of the dog have a diverse hereditary line that can be confirmed.
Designer dogs are becoming very popular recently and fittingly so. They tend to have the finest characteristics of two distinct breeds and oftentimes they are the greatest of both breeds. They can take on the personality of either breed or sometimes both breeds.
These designer dogs usually have fun names that are a blend of the two breed names such as puggle, for a pug and beagle mix, poogle for a poodle and pug mix, cockapoo for a cocker poodle mix, goldendoodle, which is a golden retriever and poodle mix and the list goes on and on.
Hybrids are great pets and if you are having a difficult time deciding on a breed a hybrid can get you the best of two breeds. They ordinarily have fantastic health and they are clever and fun dogs to own.
