You'll find parents who year after year seem to think ofthe most creative kids party ideas and pull off parties which leaves their not-so-creative peers pondering exactly how they do it. They seem to pull all off with such precision and ease but still find the time to mix with company and keep an eye on the children. Well should you be one of those not-so-creative friends, I'm here to give you some kids party ideas in addition to some tips on how to organise a kids party.
A kid's party will depend on three main aspects; what their age is, gender and preferences. Their age and gender will largely impact the sort of party you will throw. If your child is still very young you will probably pick the theme for them, although always pick a theme that they like. If your little one likes playing with cars, then you could have a race car theme. If your child loves the sea and boats then a nautical theme would be better.
In case you really want to get fancy you could create a theme out of your child's favourite story book or movie! Many kids when little ones have a much-loved story or movie which they want to hear or watch continuously. Now before you start believing that you need to journey to Disney to rent a few costumes I want you to know that there are easy ways which you can create the perfect theme inexepensively.
Costume design
You don't have to get replica costumes which depict the character types in the story or movie, you can tweak . A child's tale usually has a few lead personas, a princess, the hero, an animal or such and then some supporting parts. Look at the personas and produce simple outfits matching the colours. Pick a few components from the tale
Apart from the principal personas each tale will have a couple of props. These are the non-living objects of the story for example, a castle, tree, a special rock, sword, mirror etc. There'll be one or two props very important to the story so don't leave them out!
Print the tale
In order to carry the theme through and make the theme recognisable to children (in the event your dressmaking skills aren't the best and shipping costumes from Disney proves a little too costly), you should get a banner printed with the personas on them. If it is a really popular persona or movie it is possible to find banners, table clothes, plates, cups and serviettes with the characters printed on them. If the story isn't that famous, you can make colour copies from the pages of the book adhere these on a big board or have posters made of them. The children will manage to identify the costumes and props with the various characters.
I hope you enjoyed these kids party ideas, you now know the way to turn your child's favourite movie or book into a theme!
