Ok, so you are on PlentyOfFish or more likely Facebook and there she is: The girl that catches your attention. What do you do? I'll tell you what not to do. What 99% of guys do online and which get them zero results.
Most guys will write something generic like:"Hey! How is it going! Want to chat somtime?", or like this:"Wow! You're gorgeous. I bet you have all the guys her hitting on you, but hopefully you get this message, cause I would really like to take you out sometime", or the worst"Hey! I know you are really busy, but I am a really nice guy, you should hit me back sometime!".
These are all bad. Really, if you don't believe me, continue sending these messages, but I guarantee you that these generic messages have near 1% success rate, unless you are very good looking. And even then it's not happening very often.
So, what do you need to do? What is the magic formula?
For starters, let's get one thing clear and that is about your profile. Do NOT message any girls before your profile is perfect!
What do I mean by that?
You need to get the right pictures and the right content. An attractive girl simply will not message you back if your profile is bland and generic and the picture is bad.
Picture yourself as a hot girl, some guy messages you and he has no picture. That's just creepy. The kind of pictures you need generally speaking are pictures that convey value and personality - but not like you are thinking. We'll get to that later.
The second mistake that guys make is not to read the profile text. Admittedly, some girls go a little over the top and write a short story instead of a profile, but the first message absolutely has to be personalized. There are way too many guys using the old copy-paste message. Think about it, an attractive girl may get 50-100 messages a day. Is she going to open every messages labeled 'Hi'? No chance!
You need an attention grabber. The best way to do this is to personalize your message.
Third mistake is writing too much. This is very common. Keep it short! Remember, you need to appear as a cool, non-needy guy, not some lonely creep who will tell everyone his lifestory as soon as he gets the chance. Again, imagine you are an attractive girl and a guy sends you a full fledged novel! How weird would that seem? You barely know the girl and already you invest massive time in her.
