Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay, is located on the west coast of India and is a huge cosmopolitan and business center with a population of over 15 million. It is the capital of the Maharashtra state with a deep natural harbor that made it an important trading center all though history. The city is the headquarters for many Indian and international corporations. There are multiple financial institutions. Mumbai is the commercial and entertainment capital of India.

The second UNESCO world heritage site in Mumbai is the Chhatrapati Shivaji Station, a new train station built on the same location as the very first station and has high historical significance.
Mumbai features the world's biggest IMAX dome theater and holds an international film festival. It's the center of Bollywood and there are numerous theatres offering a multitude and assortment of Indian and Hollywood movies. For those traveling with family, there are many amusement and water parks.
For those having an interest in visiting museums, there is the National Gallery of Modern Art and the Jehangin Art Gallery. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya museum exhibits many rare and ancient exhibits of Indian history. The Asiatic Society of Bombay is the oldest public library in the city built in 1833. Mani Bhavan is a memorial to Mahatma Gandi. This is where he stayed when he made a trip to the city.
If one does not wish to visit museums, it is easy to explore in the tourist and business areas of Mumbai to admire the many skyscrapers and the blend of Gothic Revival, Art Deco, Indo-Saracenic and other architectural styles. Shopping opportunities are abundant in bazaars and modern shopping centers.
Mumbai has many fine hotels and restaurants. Transport is straightforward as there are buses, an underground tube and many roads leading to the city centre. There are traffic congestion issues, however. The city has an international airport and 2 major ports.
There are many attractions, entertainment and night life for businessmen who wish to get the maximum from their time in Mumbai. With so many selections and a blend of many cultures, Mumbai can't disappoint.
